Disappointment is that feeling you get when you don't get what you want or when things don't go your way.
Talking Points:
- 4 steps for handling disappointment:
- Step #1: Let it sting for a minute. It’s okay to feel disappointed and to figure out why you’re feeling sad.
- Step #2: Learn from it! Learn what went wrong and avoid doing that the next time!
- Step #3: Stay positive! Bad days don’t last forever and a good day is coming soon, so smile!
- Step #4: Forget about it! Don’t get stuck thinking about the bad things that have happened. Let it go, distract yourself and move on!
