Avoiding the “Happiness Trap”

The quest for personal happiness can be exhausting if it means trying to avoid all negative emotions and experiences.

Talking Points
  • In life, we carry with us both the good and the bad things that form us.
  • When we try to push away the hard things, they ironically become heavier burdens for us to bear.
  • As we accept the negatives, we are free to live for a greater purpose. When we accept and embrace pain, it becomes easier to bear.

Talk about it:
