Why do we do...doo? This is a conversation about eating right.
Talking Points:
- All of our bodies need energy to survive. Poop is the leftover waste our body doesn’t use when it turns food and drink into energy.
- If you didn’t poop, that could be a serious problem. There’s lot of medical reasons why you might not poop. If you haven’t been able to poop for a long time, you need to tell your parents and go see a doctor to find out why.
- Pooping right usually comes down to eating right. Some people say “garbage in, garbage out” and there’s some truth to that. To have a healthy digestive system, you should eat a balanced diet that includes plenty of fresh vegetables. Some common foods that are high in fiber and will “keep things moving” include beans, berries, broccoli, peas, pears, apples, and whole grains.
