- STD stands for “sexually transmitted disease.” They are sometimes referred to as STIs, which are “sexually transmitted infections.” All of them are infections.
- Some more common STIs are HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, and genital warts.
- Sexually transmitted disease are contracted from sexual contact. The only guaranteed way to not get an STD is to just not have sex. Wait until you’re married.
