Test Your Co-Dependency in Parenting

Co-dependency is the excessive emotional or psychological reliance on a partner or even our kids.

Talking Points:

  • Control vs. Empowerment. Are you over-involved in your kid’s social life and do you tend to do everything for them?
  • Skewed Priorities vs. Boundaries. Do you prioritize your kid’s demands over your own needs, responsibilities or relationships?
  • Fear vs. Strategic Confidence. Do you avoid disciplining for fear of rejection from your kids? Are you worried about being accepted by your kids?
